So we now know Demarco “One Great Season” Murray has crossed over to our arch nemesis, the Philadelphia Eagles. It appears he is more interested in money rather than a probable Cowboys Super Bowl Championship run.

Personally, I don’t care. If that’s what he wants well: “bye”.

I enjoyed watching Murray play but was near cardiac arrest each time he rushed with the football. I hadn’t mentioned this before but if there was “one” play in the Cowboys Playoff loss to Green Bay we could have done without was Demarco’s fumble. That fumble changed the complexity of the game and the eventual outcome…and yes Dez caught the ball!!!

Out with the old and in with the new, Darren McFadden.

Just hours after Demarco Murray decided to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys front office sought out Darren McFadden. He was signed to a 2 year contract worth up to $5.8 million dollars with a guaranteed $200,000 signing bonus. Up until that point,  Jtracker48 and the legions of Dallas Cowboys fans hadn’t heard too much of the University of Arkansas superstar running back. He was just another highly skilled collegiate football player with so much potential. He was drafted 4th overall by the Oakland Raiders but after years of so many ups and downs, well mostly downs, the team decided to release him.

I believe Darren McFadden will do great things for the Dallas Cowboys. He will have a much better offensive line to open bigger running lanes, much better receivers to keep the defenders in check, and a much better quarterback to make key decisions before the snap.If he isn’t as good as we need him to be the Cowboys can simply give him his walking papers and pull that roster spot out from under him and give it to someone more deserving.

Stephen Jones appears to be in full control of personnel decisions. I think the era of Jerry Jones making all sorts of crazy hires is over.

In Stephen Jones I trust.

Cowboys dominated the Redskins 44-17 and now are ready to compete in the playoffs

Beating the Redskins 44-17 showed the National Football League, fans, players and TV personalities that the 2014 Dallas Cowboys were for real.  They are no longer push-overs and can travel to any opponent’s house and come out with a win. Hell they proved it 8 times this year and tied for the best record in the NFL 12-4.

We are now in the Playoffs and apparently, the Dallas Cowboys are being disrespected again. The TV talking heads have made the Boys’ the underdogs of the NFC. Only one better than the Panthers, how pathetic is that!

The fact of the matter is the Cowboys are playing lights out football and this December was one to remember. Tony’s December demons were sent to hell and the 4-0 Angelic numbers appeared in their place. But it didn’t stop there, several players broke long standing records. Six players were selected to the Pro Bowl and one is in the discussion for MVP for 2014.

For more than a week on Facebook and Tweeter, ‘Tony Romo for MVP’ was our battle cry. The posts, tweets and re-tweets on behalf of Romo for MVP was so much that it was trending on TWEETER.

Romo played through severe pain, broken ribs,  broken transverse process bones, and surgeries. Even with all those difficulties he has the best QB Passer Rating, best Total QBR, best yards/attempts, best completion percentage, best record 12-3 as a starting QB, got Jerry Jones his NFC East title, and directed the Boys’ to playoff spot. Lead the Jews to the promise land, parted the red sea, spoke to God himself, oh wow guess I got a little carried away…

What’s the problem? The MVP should be awarded to Tony Romo’s period end of story. I believe J.J. Watt—should also be considered for MVP but only second to Tony Romo.

Anyway, I’ve got to go because family members from out of town are arriving and I have to cook fried redfish and some other fixings.

I would like to thank each of you that viewed, read, and commented on this blog. I really appreciate it and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My prayer is that you have a Great New Year and that all the desires of your heart be granted.

The easiest way for the Eagles to eat crow is while it’s still warm

Last night’s Cowboys win over the Eagles capped a great weekend for me.

On Saturday I caught a great looking fish I named, “el Big Rojo”. On Sunday the Boy’s shot down those high flying eagles, 38-27, and my wife finally made it home after being gone for several days. Oh how sweet it is…

The biggest troublemaker in my life watches me shave my face in the mirror every morning. She is the Lamb and I the Lion. We have a great love story and while she was gone, she was sorely missed and like Forest Gump said, “That’s all I got to say about that.”

My Kompa and I traveled to Rollover Pass and other areas in the Galveston vicinity.

(The photo above shows images that are not as big as they appear. Fish is actually 7 inches and weighs 1 pound. I am actually skinny but look fat because of the 50+ pounds the camera added.)

The day was very cold and windy but instead of packing up and going home early, I decided to bring home some fish.

In Sunday night’s win Romo showed his great pocket presence and instinct. He threw for 265 yards, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions for a rating of 129.

No doubt Tony is playing extremely well this season, in fact Pro-bowl caliber play. Funny how no NFL analysts out there mentions Pro-bowl and Tony Romo in the same breath. Wondering if its because of the Star on his helmet or that he plays for America’s Team.

Dez Bryant showed us why he belongs in the conversation with the current great NFL receivers. His elite receiver status should no longer be in question and should be considered for a Pro-bowl selection this year. Did you see how he made those three touchdowns catches look like child’s play? Man that was good!

Murray ran the ball over 30 times but couldn’t go over the century mark. Unfortunately, in the process of gaining more yards he fractured his left hand and may be out for a week or more.

And finally got to give it up to the Dallas Coaching staff, they learned from the previous encounter and made the necessary adjustments. Consequently beat the Eagles in their own house and made those Sheagles fans eat crow. Yea and its still warm…

We winning in December people and how bout them Cowboys!

Final Score:

JTRACKER COMPASS AWARD is presented to Tony Romo (a.k.a. Blood and Guts) because of his great pocket presence, accuracy and leadership.
